Our psychologists provide psychological services to children, adolescents and adults for a range of support needs, including:

  • Anxiety

  • ASD
  • ADHD
  • Social Skills
  • Self-esteem and Confidence
  • Behaviour Management

We use a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions including:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is essentially an ‘umbrella term’ used for a number of therapies that share the concept– “It is not the environmental trigger or situation that causes a person’s emotional response; rather it is what the person thinks about these events that leads to their emotional reaction”.

The aim of CBT is to facilitate changing a person’s ‘cognitions’ – their thoughts, beliefs and behaviours – in order to guide their emotional reaction or response to an unexpected situation.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy is a behavioural therapy focused on ‘values-guided action’. Our core values are intrinsic and can help guide, motivate and inspire change.

ACT is about ‘mindful actions’, that you take consciously and with full awareness. The core messages are ‘acceptance’ for what is out of our personal control and ‘commitment’ to actions that really matter.

Groups

We provide online/telehealth group and individual therapeutic interventions for students of both primary and secondary education levels through the Secret Agent Society Program (SAS) and the Cool Kids Anxiety Program (Child and Teen versions).

Secret Agent Society (SAS) Small Group Program is a breakthrough program for children aged between 8 and 12 to improve their social and emotional skills. It was created by Australian clinical psychologist, Dr Renae Beaumont, and is regarded as one of the most successful programs of its kind in the world.

The Cool Kids Program is a world renowned skills-based program that teaches children, teenagers and their mentors how to better manage anxiety. The program was developed at Macquarie University with numerous research studies finding that most young people who complete the program show significant improvement.
